Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Gonzalez Collins is an Mexican American Sportscaster. She currently works as a sportscaster for ESPN, working as anchor of SportsCenter as well as hosting SportsNation. The first time she worked at ESPN in the year 2016. She is the child of the journalist on television Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins has been a bi-lingual since the age of nine years old. It was a helpful skill that helped her secure her first position as a production assistant with Univision in Miami which gave her the opportunity to work alongside producers of national television shows including Nuestra Belleza Latina, Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud and Primer Impacto. They hired her as a reporter for the CBS St. Petersburg affiliate immediately following the interview. She also worked as a journalist for KNVO TV 48 Univision in Rio Grande Valley Texas. In reporting on news stories related to immigration and drug trafficking both on the Texas and Mexico border, she worked as a news reporter on Fox2 News, which is a Spanish channel KNVO TV48 Univision and Fox2 News. In addition, she covered anchors for sports and weather. Deportes 23 in Dallas, the Univision affiliate station for Dallas. She was also given more responsibility. She covered the Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS World Series and Dallas Cowboys, NBA postseason and finals FC Dallas as well. Additionally, she was the producer of Univision 23's local sports broadcast Accion Deportiva Extra on which she also served as anchor herself. The show was promoted to be a sports anchor for Despierta America Deportes' morning show. She also served in that position for the channel's magazine program Primer Impacto and for UniMas Network's Contacto Deportivo. Antonietta Collins' parents are born in Veracruz Mexico. They moved to Mexico City, where Antonietta Collins was born on November 1985. Her older sister is also hers. The family relocated from Mexico to Miami in 1992 following the departure from Mexico. Their divorce was soon followed in 1995. Her mother was remarried to one of the naval architects named Fabio Fajardo who died of kidney cancer in 2006. The holiday in the summer that she lived together with her sister living in Canton Ohio where the older Collins girl had gotten an employment. Antonietta was a senior high school student However, she was certain of her career goals. She visited Mount Union University in order to see if it was a good fit for her. She was in love with the campus. They also offered her the college she had always wanted. Following the completion of her high school studies, she decided to go to the university to study media studies. The relationship she formed was long-lasting with her professor Mark Bergmann who was the director of WRMU 91.1 FM, of which she was an affiliate. He guided her to become self-confident and his passion for journalism had a profound impact on her as did she. She was determined to fulfill the expectations of him and not fail him.
